Many men worked and contributed to the Constitution, but the person who actually wrote it was Gouverneur Morris. He was born on January 31, 1752 in New York and died on November 6, 1816(1816-11-06) in New York. He was an American statesman and a founding father of the United States. There were 55 delegates who were involved in the making of the Constitution, but only 39 signed it. A couple of the most well-known signers were Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, and George Washington.
